Hello,

My name is Bernadett Askey, and I’m a committed public school teacher. Living in Vancouver, BC, I’ve spent years educating adult and child learners.

My teaching philosophy centres on inspiring and supporting students. I always provide a respectful environment for students to feel comfortable constructing knowledge.

I completed my Bachelor of Science degree through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2009. In 2015, I earned my Master’s degree in Adult Education from Argosy University. Four years later, I graduated from the Teachers Education Program at UBC.

I love designing projects to carry students from a novice level to expertise. Students’ learning styles, cultural backgrounds and personal skills guide curriculum design.

Hi,

I’m Daryl Askey – a long-time educator and design / communication / applied-arts generalist.

I have been inspiring students at various institutions around Vancouver. My work earned me a Teaching Excellence Award at LaSalle College Vancouver.

I have always been artistic. Despite this, I obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa. My concentrations were in Marketing and International Business. I have also studied arts, design and multimedia from Emily Carr Institute, BCIT and the Vancouver Film School.

Additionally, I love playing, writing and recording music and have passed that on to my own kids. Supporting kids in the exploration of this universe excites me. I hope we are able to help as many as we can through this studio academy.
